Email Spoofing - New Viruses!
Have you been getting virus emails from people you don't even know? And then when you complain to them, and they say "I didn't fucking send you that crap!"?
Well, you may like to read this regarding viruses that spoof email addresses: http://[email protected] It explains: "Email spoofing Some variants of this worm use a technique known as "spoofing." If it does this, it chooses at random an address that it finds on an infected computer as the "From:" address that it uses when it performs its mass-mailing routine. Numerous cases have been reported in which users of uninfected computers receive complaints that they have sent an infected message to someone else. For example, Linda Anderson is using a computer that is infected with W32.Klez.E@mm; Linda is not using a antivirus program or does not have current virus definitions. When W32.Klez.gen@mm performs its emailing routine, it finds the email address of Harold Logan. It inserts Harold's email address into the "From:" line of an infected email that it then sends to Janet Bishop. Janet then contacts Harold and complains that he sent her infected email, but when Harold scans his computer, Norton AntiVirus does not find anything--as would be expected--because his computer is not infected. If you are using a current version of Norton AntiVirus, have the most recent virus definitions, and a full system scan with Norton AntiVirus set to scan all files does not find anything, you can be confident that your computer is not infected with this worm. Hell, I was bitching at myself for sending myself a virus. One part of me doesn't know how I got it, while the other part of me thinks that I'm full of shit, ha ha ha.
Seriously, I must have it somewhere on my system because I send it to myself and I get back returned emails with viruses saying that they couldn't be delivered. I tried all kinds of stuff to find the damn virus, but nothing seems to work, I got the newest Norton and ran it a million times. I've tried other virus solutions that were supposed to clear it and I just can't find the damn thing, it's pissing me off. I'd like to find the asshole that made the virus and cut his balls off, ha ha ha. |
Linda Anderson sounds sexy. Is she hot?

All viruses need to be run on boot up. That's one way I find viruses that my scanner can't. Run 'msconfig' from the 'run' selection in windows, and look at 'start up'. If you see anything in there that you dont know what it is - then find out! If you can't find out, then remove it. If you dont try to find out and remove it anyway, then you may remove something that your computer needs. Another way to find out what programs are currently running is with drwatson - run it from the same run menu, and look at the section where it shows all programs running (it shows a lot more than hitting ctrl-alt-del does - at least for pre-win XP machines). I found a program called load.exe running once (mcafee actually infected me with this virus with their own update program, and their software couldn't detect it [obviously]), and i found out that it was being loaded from the system.ini file under shell=explorer.exe line - so that's another place where a program can tell itself to load.
