What good does PR6 do you? Isn't it better to have a PR4 or PR5 and some #1 spots for some good keywords instead?

Sometimes, PR6 gets spidered more though which means links get listed faster. PR6 is hard to get with an adult site though.

Page rank is dead. It means nothing. A page rank 4 site can be raking in a million a year while a page rank 6 site could be doing squat.

of course pr6 is better than pr 4 or 5. but chances are if you cant get your site a decent pr you dont know what you're doing, and wouldnt be able to utilize it very good anyway.

yeah you're right. i think theres some kind of manual changes or something. i currently have a pr6 site but i have a feeling its going to drop to a 5 next update even though it will have more and better incoming links.

No but it certainly brings the value of a $100 bill down. And he's right when he's saying that a PR0 can most certainly rank higher than any PR6. It all depends on which keywords you want to target and how strong the competition is.

To be clear, I'm not saying page rank is meaningless because you can fake it. I'm saying it's meaningless because it is unrelated to how much search traffic you receive, how frequently you are spidered, and just about everything else. Chasing page rank (and buying a link for the sake of page rank) is simply foolish.

I'd rather have a link from a Page Rank 2 that is Number one in Google for a term I am competing for than a link from a page rank 8 that is completely unrelated.

As to a page rank 6 getting spidered more - that's nonsense. The bots get into a habit of visiting your site based on frequency of updates.

But hey, wtf do I know about SEO - right? Go ahead and buy you're links based on page rank if you want.

only if you dont know what you're doing, its pretty easy to tell the difference between a fake pr and a real pr site.

2 sites. 1 pr5 1 pr2, both updated everyday. the PR5 gets spidered every 24 hours, the pr2 every 2 weeks. you can analyze
that all you want...

If you're PR 2 is being updated daily and only getting spidered once ever 2 weeks, you're doing something very, very wrong.

I dont know who fed you this line but its total BS - PR does not equal anything in cash and sales - ranking in the SERPs does - and PR certainly has very little to do with where you rank these days.
Of course if all youre interested in is that pretty little green bar as you plan to sell links to other unsuspecting idiots - then I guess its a somewhat profitable (although pretty lame) plan.

If its an adult site, I wouldnt plan for a PR6 unless you can build one helluva undetectable fake linking network
