How is Netbilling? Looking for gateway for Mainstream store......

Was with Authorize.net but i dont like em.

I need a merchant acct that is nice.

venus 03-26-2006 12:26 PM

been using them since 1999, have no intentions of using anyone else...awsome support and mitch is easy to get ahold of if you need him.

Pornwolf 03-26-2006 12:43 PM

Mitch will be here in 3...2...1...

Jace 03-26-2006 12:56 PM

as much as I don't care for the support ticket time, I personally think the new rollout of www.2checkout.com has been great...the backend is excellent and I had my store up and rolling in like 30 minutes ready to process

AmateurFlix 03-26-2006 01:02 PM

worked ok for my stuff when I used them

sandman! 03-26-2006 01:04 PM

been using them for a few years no problems here.

baddog 03-26-2006 01:04 PM

We were pleased with NetBilling, hope to use them again in the future.

I would like to know your problem with authorize.net. Feel free to hit me on ICQ if you don't want to discuss it on the board.

TheSpreader 03-26-2006 01:06 PM

Authorize.net is ok and would actually recommend them. I also use Linkpoint Central and they are pretty good. The only problem I have been experiencing with Authorize.net is that they do a lot of "Surprise maintenence" without giving you a heads up and their AVS system is pretty wishy washy.

What merchant services are you going to use? What every you do, DO NOT USE Card Services International! They are fucking crooks and their customer service managers talk to you like you're a retarded kid.

I've never used NetBilling but I honestly can't see how one gateway would be dramatically different than another.

They decided to do maintenence (well, they migrated all of their servers) so we had quite a bit of downtime. After they got it all set back up we are still having problems getting CVV codes to go through. Even when we use our own cards and know for a fact that they are valid it still declines. It has pissed off quite a few customers.

Pornwolf 03-26-2006 01:12 PM

2checkout is highly recommended if you need something in the meantime while you go through the merchant account setup process again.

Who did you use for the books?

mrthumbs 03-26-2006 01:16 PM

been using them since mid 2003 no probs ever (knock knock) We use their api with our own cc interface and backend

there's something about 2checkout I just don't trust. if feels too much like paysystems, and we all know what happened there...

Abyss_Vee 03-26-2006 01:17 PM

netbilling is awesoem

minusonebit 03-26-2006 01:22 PM

2checkout.com is cool for mainstream stuff and I dont think anyone needs to worry about them going the way of paysystems. They are pretty financially stable from what I understand.

Pornwolf 03-26-2006 01:35 PM

I don't think many people use 2checkout for recurring transactions.

On another note, I wonder why Epoch and CCBill don't offer lower rate mainstream processing. I'm sure the amount of good transactions would only help their relations with Visa and MC.

Authorize.net was "ok" on most occasions.... The main issue was the interaction and stuff with the shopping cart... once it worked it got fine but authorize.net would change shit on their end on many occassions and thus I had to get a "fix" for the cart and many others.

Probono 03-26-2006 03:50 PM

There are far less expensive options for mainstream. We have done it and I will share if you want. icq me if you want the info 163 5772

OY 03-26-2006 03:54 PM

I can recommend Netbilling wholeheartedly. Have had a LOT of clients using them for years. For storefront transactions they work very well.

really? well, considering they are one of the leaders in the merchant billing game, and have been around for years, and have SERIOUS backing behind them, I don't think they are going anywhere very fast

i have clients that I work with that have used them since they opened and have never had any troubles

spunkmaster 03-26-2006 04:24 PM

If you want low rate merchant account and a gateway that you can plug OSCommerce in to with ease take a look at www.fastcharge.com

SinisterStudios 03-26-2006 04:29 PM

I use authorize.net, they are ok. I hate the fact that their automatic billing API
keeps getting delayed, its killing me. I want to move the account but it will be tooo much work to move :(

2checkout great if you like paying about 5% and having HORRIBLE support, which I do not.

There is nobody better than Netbilling that I have found, and I am not looking.

Netbilling comes highly recomended.

Other than CCBill, Paycom, and Netbilling, who else is there?

Nobody really big in adult but there are lots of mainstream processors, just many that are not that great.

We're just about to go live with Netbilling and so far, so good. Email responces have been fast and Andy from support has been most helpfull.

galleryseek 03-27-2006 10:52 AM

definitely go with netbilling. their API is good. I was with authorize.net and usaepay, both of their systems don't offer API functionality that netbilling has. like for instance, if you're running a mainstream recurring site, and want a "cancel my membership" link in the members area, with authnet you would have to manually stop the recurring billing in their interface each time someone wants to cancel.. with netbilling, there is api that you can script into the cancel link that'll automatically stop it so you don't have to mess with that shit.

worldpay. clickbank for digital stuff. paypal. by the way, I'm not joking about paypal - lots of customers like to pay using it, makes them feel safe

NETbilling 03-27-2006 12:38 PM

Everyone,

Thank you for all of the very kind words.
