the Lonely Planet books are good, pretty much one for most countries
If you are in NZ, you may aswell do australia http://www.lonelyplanet.com/ Matt |
Can't recommend a good guide but highly suggest you make a stop in Dubai if you are travelling around the world. The place is incredible.

Get an around the world ticket, they are good for a year, and you can go all over the fuckin place....
Some of them you have to stay a minimum of 1 week per destination stop, some of them is 1 day minimum stay.. Most of them you can start in one spot and as long as you're traveling in one direction you can go to like 10+ destinations.. As soon as you get to the places you're going hotel and food are the main worries.. Me and leslie have been thinking about taking one of these at some point.. going from south america over to the carribean to europe and asia to hawaii back to the us type of thing... You can get em starting at around $3500 and up per person |

I have backtracked before on a RTW ticket and they allowed it (as it was the only way of getting to my next destination) they charged me a bit extra though. Matt |

He made a list of places he wanted to visit. He did not say whether they were countries, continents, cities or states, he just simply mentioned places and Africa does qualify as a place :) pimpdog the DK Eyewitness Travel Guides are very good, I have a lot of them. They have some for specific countries such as Italy and then have larger ones that cover most of Europe etc. I like them because they have maps, background on the different cities, best places to go, opening/closing times of museums etc. as well as accomdations, restaurants, what type of shopping is best there etc. |
i cant recommend a good tourist site but i will suggest that you go on European Tour for the 2 months.
|
I think every port of every country could provide you that guide book. :)
|
Rleax? Or Tour.
You dont tour the world relaxing. You have to be up everyday and viewing shit. If you want to relax, take a month at a resort somewhere like Dominican or Aruba. |
try touring the asian hot beach spots. :thumbsup
