Has a Parking Gate ever closed on top of your car?
 

at my apartment complex the parking gate fell down on my benz and scratched it up.

im fucking pissed.

Give them good photos and an estaminet. They have insurance.

Many recent models have sensors to prevent that from happening. Must have been an older model. I see either a direct suit on your part or a subrogation claim brought by your insurance company.

No, but I forgot to put on the parking brake and broke one off at a hospital parking lot once.

Every time I go through one i sort of cringe, expecting that to happen.
Same thing when I drive across "severe tire damage" strips with the backward retracting spikes.

Just claim... I don't see how they would try to pull this off

Yeah.... something similar happened to me at the condo I was staying at about 9 years ago. It was a motorized swinging gate, and it immediately started closing when I pass through it and scratched the side of my truck.

I never did file a claim on it though. Just ended up selling the truck not long after. Though everytime I pass though one now I think the same thing is going to happen again.

then the condo fee goes up, lol
