What's The Fastest Way To Make $100k In This Business?
 

We need a benchmark round here. Since so many affiliates and other programs brag brag brag, about everything from payouts to traffic to who knows what, let's look at the practical and say what is the fastest way to make $100k in this business?

Galleries? Start your own affiliate program? Is there a successful formula? What combination of things works best?

I know only of three affiliates that actually paid off after all these years. I now only use them and every once in a while try a new one if recommended by pros in this biz.

But if I was new, was looking for a fast way to pay off college bills or whatever, which game plan works? I start off with the will to work hard.

You know what, if there was a magic formula, there would be so many people doing it that it would be worthless after a week.

yeah, sometimes you just get lucky. when i started i just wanted to cover my hosting and maybe have a bit extra. i hoped, but never expected that i would make more than that.

for everyone 1 person that does well, there is 100 or 1000 or whatever that don't. the biggest thing is to work hard.

You ask a broad sword question, and you are going to get broad BS answers. For every one person who made it from pay sites, free sites, TGP's, content, others made it in galleries, affiliates, SEO, or some other variant.

There are plenty of people who reached the $100k mark, but in different ways, and timetables. Some do one thing really well, some have their fingers in 10 pies.

But as Dre said, there is no magic formula other than hard work.

Create materials and sponsors that convert that traffic source well.

Find something that works, and upscale it until you reach your goal.

Exactly, but one thing you left out is friends/colleagues that have faith in you and in whom you have faith and confidence. You work on several levels. Yourself, your colleagues. Some have affiliate programs that launch them into fortunes. They have a good team and time only tells how successful it is.

In my case being an artist I make my own content. My options are pretty good considering it only works as my overhead is so low.

I can make my own content for a site or sites and charge. Or I can do content, license it or do content for other sites.

Yet it's more of a money maker to do my own stuff as licsnsing content is a pain and people want to buy stuff for dirt cheap. Doesn't work that way. Not worth the time nor effort.

I can also do my own sites and offer a reseller program. That's the 500lb gorilla right there if I felt like the headache.

It's keeping overhead low and working with people who are willing to go out there and sell. It's by no means a lay around on your ass kind of job but reaching $100k isn't that difficult.

If you're starting out and you have to shoot your own content, hire models yadda yadda you can go broke before you begin.

All these answers just beat around the bush. Find a good site, doesn't matter if you own it or not, just that it converts decently.

Buy traffic.

Everything boils down to cost of traffic acquisition and conversions. That determines the speed of your return. If you have money you can buy as much traffic as you need.

Starting with $10k you could easily hit $100k in 2 months. You could do it even faster depending on the frequency of payout from the processor or sponsor.

Rinse and repeat what works, but don't beat around the bush and start shooting content, designing and or submitting shit if you don't have to. Get it direct. Once you build your base of cash then give back to the money machine and build something groundbreaking for others to promote & get rich on themselves which continues the cycle for the next generation of webmaster.

Great suggestions there. Every year at least one new site or program pops up that really stands out. Not always adult but something that means a difference. If the site or program becomes over saturated then it's not worth it.

New niches pop up all the time. Sometimes just a 1,000 people can make a difference. That's all you need membership-wise for a small site to put you in 6 figures a year.

Well - here's one of those general guesses based on knowledge of the business - Id say less than 10% of the people posting here have ever seen that much in their "business lifetime" let alone in a year (of course that includes the 50% here who's biz lifetime is less than a year)

Sounds great, but you need to know what you are doing and you may need to wait a while for your investment to mature. You probably won't get a hole-in-one on your first drive.
