using 1.5, and no probs here. when you'll install it, then download FireTune.

woj 03-24-2006 02:29 PM

everything works great here, even with a dozen open tabs, it still works great

jjjay 03-24-2006 02:41 PM

not usually, but for some reason page 3 of mr izz's muslim thread has crashed my browser twice today

LHG 03-24-2006 02:45 PM

Mine slows down and goes to sleep if it hasn't been refreshed lately, but that's because my laptop is underpowered and I have 5 browsers open.

It's not a problem on my real computer.

FireTune is an excelent program to optomize your browsing experience with FF.

How to tell whether Firefox is faster after optimizing it? A Few simple test below:

· Clear the cache of Firefox from the Firefox settings dialog - this is very important!
· Before you optimize Firefox, navigate to http://www.numion.com/stopwatch/ and do a speed test on http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
· The time needed to load the site completely will be displayed to you in the browser window. Write down the time
· Clear the cache of Firefox from the Firefox settings dialog again - this is very important!
· Now, close Firefox, and optimize it with FireTune
· Start Firefox again, and repeat the speed test on http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
· Compare the displayed result with the result from the test before the optimization

Enjoy and spread FF!
