Cool Ice Sculptures! (pics)!!
I don't know if these have been posted before, but my aunt sent me these cool shots from an ice sculpture competition.
It's amazing how hard some people work, and how talented some people are! http://www.pleasureresource.com/misc/ice10.jpg http://www.pleasureresource.com/misc/ice11.jpg http://www.pleasureresource.com/misc/ice1.jpg http://www.pleasureresource.com/misc/ice2.jpg |

In the town I grew up which has a very large sandy beach, there was a guy there who for years did sand sculptures. He was very talented too. Great pics, thanks for sharing. |

I watched a show once on a company that specializes in making things like this for various companies. The one the company was doing at the time was for an auto maker and it was showcasing one of their new cars. This company made a replica of the car in ice.
Basically they were huge blocks of ice and they used various methods to shape it from chain saws to blow torches. After it was done, it looked like packed snow (like the dino pic above). They then used a blowtorch on it to get rid of the snow look and give it the look of glass. It was amazing to watch. I hate cold weather but I would go to see a show like the one shown above anytime |
