Buddhism is the most peaceful of the major religions. You don't hear about Buddhists running around beheading people and shit unless it's localized to some regime like Thailand used to be.

One of the reasons I'm against the death penalty is because it is something fundamental that seperates us from theocratic countries. That and the fact that it's not a deterent and costs us more money than life imprisonment.

Yep, and the handicapped people always have some sort of ailment that you can't see. It's always "oh my back hurt and I could never get up until today, but now the pain is gone! hallelujah!" or "I was blind and now miraculously I can see!". You never see a person with clearly broken twisted limbs go up on stage and see those limbs straighten before your eyes and see them walk again. But all the empty wheelchairs in the front row of the stage try to give you the impression that's what has happened. Those "preachers" aren't zealots, they're truly evil men playing on the hopes and fears of simple people.
