I think that name and those uniforms are pretty demeaning.
Id be embarrassed to work in a place where the public looks at the workers as a bunch of geeky nerds

I think you're reading too much into it. The overall image of computer people is a "geek", and most geeks I know love being geeks.

But no I wouldn't work for them, they probably make $10 an hour.

I *tried* to use GeekSquad once and I was not satisfied. There are two GeekSquad locations near me, both inside of BestBuy stores. All I needed was a diagnostics test run and first of all they didn't know what that was, second they couldn't give me a price up front, and third the turnover time was a week.

they dont deserve the title geek, if they wrote vax assembly all day then maybe. but what do they do? configure windows? wow what gear heads..

I would LOVE that job. Spend my day helping hot women fix their puters. I would be wearing that geeky outfit so they wouldn't suspect that I was really trying to get into their panties. What a setup. Where do I apply?

I agree, they are overpriced, slow and generally unskilled. They make the bul of their money charging people to install virus protection. That tells you how skilled they are.

I work on the Geek Squad full time for a regular job. It's ok...and no, I don't drive the bug

FYI there are many idiot geek squad agents that work for them. I'm not. At my Precinct (work area) we do tons of work that deserve the title geek. I hate my job though. The Best Buy we are based out of is racist...I'm in the south and the store is ran by racist african americans....me being white is labeled as "Screwed"

I'd be embarrased to work there. Not because of the outfit, name or car, but because then I'd be associated with a bunch of idiots who think they can fix computers, when all they do is invent a problem that requires them to ship your PC to a distant location for "repairs" and try to sell you virus software that already comes with the systems they sell. Bunch of rip-off motherfucking wankers.
