Epoch makes me feel safe at night...

CCbill & Epoch are both great companies. However, if you have enough volume, I would get a merchant account and process with Netbilling and use CCbill or Epoch as a backup or secondary processor.

This is true. Even if you don't have NATS or MPA3 or a program similar to cascade, you can easily set your site up to use both. Paycom has Flex post info that can help on their end ... and in CCBills admin area for you, you can put in a url for denials.

If you are not using both, you are giving away a good chunk of change.

When you send an email to ccbill tech support, you will have a USEFUL reply within 8 hours. When you email epoch, you can expect it will take a while..

Epoch does offer more agressive marketing methods tho.

I'd have to disagree with that one, I hear back from Epoch within minutes in most cases.

But yes, both would be the ideal set up. If you are a good programmer I would suggest Epoch over CCBill, because there is a ton of shit you can do, but you have to know how to program, it's more advance to set up.

I wonder which processor allows more sales to go through

I've been using ccbill for about 7 years now (since 1999), and I really like them. Sometimes (like with any other company) I want to murder them because of the denials (they scrub toooo much! to the point of denying my own credit cards). But they are very good and trustworthy.
I will get Epoch as a backup once sales increase a little later in the year.
