Updates - Surgery and Laptop
 

Just got back from the hospital and man im woren out. They did the surgery yesterday but decided to keep me another nite for observation. The siurgeon said the wound actually looked really good considering and that its going as well or better than he had hoped. He gave me an estimate of 3-6 months of wound vac therapy then he'll start thinking bout skin grafts or other stuff to make me whole again lol

UPS tried delivering my new laptop yesterday (a day early I might add). Sposed to try again sometime this afternoon. Cant friggin wait to get it. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks peeps!!

What does this wound vac thing do? I assumed it just drained off excess fluid, but six months of fluid-sucking would turn you into a mummy...

LOL it sucks out all the drainage but also pulls good stuff to the surface to promote healing. Or so they say. I aint a dr or play one on tv (how many of us are old enuff to remember that reference?? hehe)

Just waiting for the wireless router now. Getting rid of all the crap Dell preinstalled and setting it up the way I want it. Way nicer laptop than I thought I could get for the money. Cant imagine what I coulda got for 2-3 grand like some cost these days. But 650 will do all I need it to lol Damn I remember the first computer I bought... 200 mhz 32 megs of ram 8 x cd rom and speakers - 1997 I think ..... $3000 Course it had a tape backup drive and the newly released windows 98 :winkwink: jeeeeeeez lol

Well soon as the router gets here I can move from room to room with it instead of being stuck here in the living room behind a desk lol
