Looks like I picked the right week to stop using coke. :)

Yet more proof that the American government are morons.

Quote:

Expressing confidence that the indictment will mark "the beginning of the end" for the FARC drug-trafficking operation, DEA Administrator Karen Tandy said, "This is the FARC's worst fear, facing American justice."
Yeah, sure. A drug indictment will be the fall of a guerilla movement that has been around for almost half a century and has tens of thousands of members. :disgust

sigh. a press statement does not mean they're morons. what governments say and what governments do are entirely different things, and the USA isn't exactly some irrelevant backwater struggling for money.

We know what the US government does with regards to drugs. The "war on drugs" isn't exactly a secret, nor is it a success.

You're right. That doesn't mean they're morons.

This does.

you could say the same about the "war on crime" in any single country

you could imagine though that with the resources the US has, if the war on drugs isn't a success, perhaps that's the desired outcome.

I'd be very surprised if all the income governments make is legit and on the books. black market weapons sales...etc.

Young 03-22-2006 02:47 PM

Good luck catching them now

No, you couldn't. In many countries crime is really low, and if a country manages to drop crime to rates much lower than in other countries, the fight against crime can be considered to be a success.

they are probably pissed at some leftists down there so they're gonna pin some drug shit on them, you have to be friends with CIA to get your drugs into USA!

Hmm well let's see.

Do they deal in narcotics? Check.

Do they use terror tactics during the production and supply of the drug? Check.

It would appear that 'narcoterrorists' would describe them rather well.

We all just discussed this bullshit. I've been raising hell for a week about this shit. They moved on this because they know damned well their 'Homeland Security' is bullshit. They needed to spindoctor this crap. They can't explain why after 911 and after all the hurricanes, tsunamis, volcanoes, tornadoes etc. why the fuck all this dope is still getting into the U.S. and why heroin is flowing out of the cracks of asses in Afghanistan to the point that even the Russians are complaining.

Fuckin' lyin' dirty cop bastards.

Pornwolf 03-22-2006 03:13 PM

Street prices are about to skyrocket. Lots of inner city killings in the US should be expected since competition is going to be fierce for the next couple of years while they work out a new system in Columbia.

does that mean I have to go back to smoking pot ? damm!!!!!!

Yeah, but if you launch a "war", it is essential to know the biggest problems you are facing. And obviously, the big problem with drugs has always been demand.

the war on drugs is just simple excuse to drive up the cost of drugs. price goes up when it is supposedly harder to ship in.

think of the amount of cocaine that is shipped into USA daily, obviously the gov't has something to do with it.

War on the users won't do jack squat.

Read the thread and data I posted earlier. There are countries with the harshest drug penalties and still people are using and selling.

Even with the threat of beheading and believe it or not crucifixion! Yes, they still crucify people to this day!

It ain't stoppin' someone who is hooked because they're no longer themselves. Once their unconcious mind gets hold of a narcotic it's like glue. It won't let them cut loose.

This problem isn't going to go away until we educate and make sure we don't fall back into that 'oh drugs are cool' shit that Hollywood and the music industry has been promoting for decades.

When's the last time you heard a hit record that said 'drugs are deadly and stupid'? You won't because it doesn't fit the lifestyle of the crumbs who are producing those records.

I know an executive in the recording industry. He was one of the legends. Lost it all to dope. Now he's trying to make a comeback and he's realized what happened to him. There ain't no monkey on your back, there's a monkey up your ass and just like lab rats and lab monkeys the minute they latch onto a narcotic they'll take it til they die.
