U.S. vs. Germany Today
 

The U.S. is playing Germany in an hour. Anyone have any score-line predictions?

The U.S. are on a roll and have not lost this year while Germany has recently lost 1-4 to Italy. The German press is all over the German National coach, Jurgen Klinsmann to produce a win. The German team will be under a lot of pressure to win today although it?s just a friendly match. Some sports writers have spoken of firing Klinsmann if they don?t win today even though we are about 10 weeks from the start of the World Cup. The U.S. team will not be under much pressure at all. They have all but picked their World Cup roster and did not even bring their ?A team.? They are using this game to try out a few bubble players.

It all starts on ESPN2 at 11:30am (PT)

usa has played canada, norway and poland in 2006... we sent a c-team and got trashed.. did canada and poland do the same? germany has only faced italy in italy so that is a HUGE difference..

germany has a strong squad today and should win fairly easy.. they are under pressure to secure a win for their coach and are after all playing at home.. I could see klinsman go if they lose tonight though :)

Germany has a good team and on paper they should win but teams under pressure sometimes don't play well. That's my rational.

Now it's a blow out. I'm glad for Klinsmann because he's a good guy.

We have one central defender that sucks. Greg Burhalter should never play if we wish to win. He sucks. At least 2 goals have been directly his fault. When I saw he was playing today I knew that our coach was not playing our best team.

Very true, however a soccer world cup is just that, a WORLD cup. Every country involved. Unlike the world series of basebal where only 50 states are involved.. lol

Yes, it was very surprising. Germany has been on a loosing streak and the newspapers are littered with "oh my god, what will be do, we suck so bad" headlines. Well, not anymore after this game.
