ordered a DVD from amazon.com - more than a month and it hasn't arrived
 

How long am I supposed to wait for a single DVD to arrive? Six months, a year?

Checks from the States get here 10-12 days after they're issued.

just venting, emailed them already, they replied that they'd send me a new one if this one doesn't arrive

Nah, they don't deliver packages to my house, I get them from the post office, and you need to produce id/drivers licence to receive them, also I did Debbie long time ago, I don't need that particular DVD ;)

yeah contact amazon support and see what the deal is

maybe the postman kept it. They will resend I am sure..

as far as the postal services are concerned, for 10 years haven't had a single lost parcel or letter, and only one lost check and I'm 99% sure that it simply wasn't sent

Was the DVD available immediately? Sometimes it does say "Takes 1-2 weeks to ship," because they don't have it in stock.

Anytime it's been available immediately, I've gotten it within 3 days, but I do live in Canada.

Overseas Amazon orders are sent Global Economy which means the lowest priority. It goes by boat and then has to go through your countries customs.
Next time get off your lazy ass and go to the store.

Weird, I'm in Canada and when I order stuff like that from Amazon, it's usually here within a week.
