Just got delivery of the most awesome screen I've ever bought. Dell 3007wfp. 30" TFT! Native Res: 2560x1600 !

I don't know how I ever managed with my 24" Samsung now:1orglaugh

I'd been using a Samsung 24" at 1920x1200. The jump up to 30" and 2560x1600 makes a LOT of diference in terms of what you can get on the screen at once. And the quality of this Dell is stunning.

If you are thinking - do it!. You wont regret it a second :)

da man 03-22-2006 04:51 AM

congrats man!

cranki 03-22-2006 04:58 AM

30" as well :thumbsup

Why would anyone use that big of a monitor unless you want to royally fuck your eyes up.

Scotty.T 03-22-2006 05:44 AM

What ya gonna do when you want to upgrade the next time? Move house or get a bigger Velux? That's gonna be an expensive upgrade :winkwink:

Agreed, it also closes down the iris of your eyes and makes the screen look wrong.

staring at flat panels isn't the best for your eyes to begin with, nevermind making your eye try to decipher which light source it should be using to adjust your focus. Your eyes will be fighting to dilate between the monitor and the window.

either way, nice freakin monitor :thumbsup

Gungadin 03-22-2006 08:41 AM

yes, but is it bad for your eyes? Maybe the constant change in dilation of your eyes is a good training for your eyes and it actually makes your eyes stronger against changing lights?

i'm sure it's not bad in intermittently, but for your eyes to be doing that all day everyday...

Deej 03-22-2006 12:31 PM

Some nice work area goin on here....

Z 03-22-2006 01:19 PM

I use two 19" LCDs that come off my laptop docking station. But I had a 24" Dell LCD for a while on my personal computer and DAMN that was nice.

I'm drooling thinking about two 30" next to one another.

Hollywood Horwitz 03-22-2006 04:25 PM

nice pimp monitor!

czarina 03-22-2006 04:32 PM

Mac makes some of the nicest big monitors like that.

wyldblyss 03-22-2006 04:36 PM

Love it, but I would worry it would give me headaches. Have you had any problems adapting to it?

minusonebit 03-22-2006 04:56 PM

Very nice, I've gotta get me one of them.

hova 03-22-2006 05:04 PM
