Quitting smoking, who has done it and how?
Oh yeah, good morning.
|
I did, just stopped. It lasted for 2 years and then im started again. Now i'm not thinking bout quitting, something more evil will probably kill me anyway. :)

Quit a week ago
went cold turkey So far so good |
Wow thanks for that stunning testimonial Jazz, your success story gives me hope.
:1orglaugh :1orglaugh I couldnt "just stop", no way. I'll need drugs or hypnosis or some shit. |
Quit cold turkey 13 months ago, I love my new life, I look forward to going to the gym every day and I've saved over $1,000 from not buying em.
Still enjoy going to bars, even if they are smokey, cravings are non existant even after too many beers :) Good luck if you decide to quit :) |
Quitting coke first tends to help the urge to smoke :2 cents:
|
I did it more than a year ago, used the Nicorette gums, feeling great !!!
5 days/week gymming, healthier diet, I look fresher than a cucumber !!! |
I did 4 months ago but now i'm addicted to to gums. I was on the freshmint 4mg then 2mg then onto normal gum over 3 months but now i can't stop chewing aaaaaahhhhhhhhh.
|
I quit September 22, 2005. Smoked 1-2 packs a day for like 10 years.
Woke up one day with some major fucking will power and just stopped. No weight gain, nothing... Now I hate to be around it. I dont do drugs or smoke weed either. |
I quit in October 2004
Probably tried to quit 20 times in the last 10+ years... was a 1-2 pack a day smoker, sometimes more if I was in vegas or drunk. I did gain about 30 pounds in the six months after I quit, 10 of which I've lost so far. I carried the gum for a few weeks, and only chewed a peice when I really needed it. I would usually first try to drink a glass of cold water and that would take my mind off of it. The water is also good because lots of water helps to detox you. Good luck. |
i did that a couple ot times...but i won't do that again...i like smoking...
|
i quit a few years back, best thing i ever did
|
Me and my old roomate had a good system back when we were roomies and we both wanted to quit.
First one to smoke a cigarrete had to pay the other $5.. then additional $5 dollars every time you smoked one. If you broke down and bought a pack it was 20$ you owed the other. It actually worked for a while.. i was 2 months without a smoke, then had a bad day.. and broke down.. bought a pack:( |
