I'm lacking major energy lately, advice?

i just got back from mexico 2 weeks ago, and these pats 2 weeks i have had little to no energy to do much of anything.

it seems winter has been bringing me down, just as it did before i left.

i work out 2-3 times a week and work at home.

these past 2 weeks for me have been a 100% drag, everyday i wake up feeling like it is pointless.

winter does this to me alot, that is why i try to travel every 1-2 months during winter.

what can i do to get some more energy?

Whats your diet like the past 2 weeks or should I say eating and drinking habits?

Energy and mood can be very much affected by lack of a certain vitamin, mineral or other combinations.

that probably has to do with it, i dont really eat anything specific ever, i also do not eat alot of fatty foods, just a balanced diet,

i drink tons and tons of fucking water, i mean like 6-8 bottles a day alone.

maybe i am just in general not eating enough,

what should i eat more of to have lots of energy?

KRL 03-21-2006 11:43 PM

Vitamin C and Vitamin B-12 will help kick it up.

Holly 03-21-2006 11:44 PM

You need to juice more.

ok i will def. take more of those, i seriously feel like i am lacking,

i wonder if it has to do with the city i am in? i really do not know.

Calgarys weather changes from day to day, it can go from -14 to +14 overnight, i wonder if this has anything to do with it.

whenever i am in warmer climates i find myself much much happier and much more focused.

i have been planning for years in getting out of here for the full 6 months of winter but it is a big step.

i really need to find something to keep me motivated during winter months,

Very simple fix.

For the next 5-7 days try to follow this routine.

Breakfast :
-Eat a bowl of cereal .. something sorta healthy
-Pull out your blender and add the following.
4 ounces of oj
1 banana
8 strawberries
15-20 blueberries
1 kiwi with the skin
Add 3-4 cups of ice and blend that shit up. If you have Flax Seed or can get some, I highly recommended added 2 tablespoons to the mix.

Lunch:
- Make a turkey sandwich. No mayo. Use mustard or low fat dressing. Stay away from the red meats for now. Just turkey with tomatoe, spinach .. not lettuce. There is no nutrional value in lettuce. Use spinach instread.
- And eat a yougurt

Dinner :
- Steamed veggies and fish baked ...never fryed. You can mix it up with the types of fish. Tallepia is good .. very bland and not fishy tasting. Or go with my favorite, Salmon. I use cajun seasoning on just about everything. I like it hot. But you can try other things. Teryaki sauce is great, lemon and pepper is great. And mix up the veggies you steam each night.

Snacks :
- Snack on carrots and other cold veggies. Mix with some lowfat salad dressing.

The key here is veggies and fruit and mixing up the types of both. I'm a healthy webmaster. I exercise every day but without the proper food, you are as the say ... fucked.

Just try this basic routine and I promise in a week you will feel way better. Continue to work out. Drop and do 30 push ups next to your desk here and there. It sounds strange, but it works. I have a pull up bar too, so I bust those out here and there.

The other great thing about this diet is that when the days come that you want to pig out, like when you have a good Italian Sunday dinner, you can eat whatever you want and it won't matter. It makes you appreciate all that good food more.

Hope it helps.

NO JUICER .. they are bad. The skin on some veggies and fruits have more important nutrients than you can possibly imagine.

Fire up the juicer, score a little crank, and you'll be 100% in no time.

No problem. I share the time thing with you. I was born and raised in Cleveland, OH and the winters there are rough. Then I moved to SD and learned how to be healthy. Now I'm in Phoenix in the winter and Cleveland in the summer. Once you get on this routine, you'll come up with your own favorite smooties and its so easy to do.

Best of luck to ya

We all experience the same thing, maybe you need new things that would motivate you to get back on track.
