This is the best by far.

The Hard Rock is always a good spot to get ribs no matter where in the world you find one.

They used to have this kickass Watermelon based sauce, but I think they dumped it at some point.

Just_Dave 03-21-2006 06:35 PM

good stuff

candyflip 03-21-2006 06:36 PM

I love my BBQ.

I basically eat out all the time, one or two nights a week I get BBQ.

Once you been to Phil's nothing else will compare and you will be dissapointed.

Word of advice if going... It is so popular it is a very long long wait to get your food. Call ahead.

We have a Dreamland here and the ribs are average at best. :( IIRC, they aren't babyback. I'm picky about my ribs :thumbsup If they WERE babyback, they were very tough ones.

Dreamland was bought out by 2 investors who live down the street from me about 5 years ago. They bought the franchise from the family that started it here and ever since then it just hasn't been the same. Dreamland used to be the best bbq around, now they are just "ok".:(

ps- iam drunk so if none of that made sense, im sorry. :(

PixeLs 03-22-2006 07:36 PM

Dad makes the juiciest bbg ribs in the world.. :)

Downtime 03-22-2006 07:38 PM

One of the best places in the world for BBQ is down in Southern Illinois in a town called Murphysboro. The restaurant is called "17th Street", and it's one a fuckton of world bbq rib titles. Bill Clinton used to have them flown to him at the White House all the time, seriously.

It's the best ribs i've ever had.

Chris 03-22-2006 07:44 PM

Sofar in LA I havent been able to find a rib joint. Not like the south where you can get good BBQ almost anywhere.

Best BBQ I ever had was in a little town about 30 min north of Little Rock Arkansas. They had so many awards and trophies you had to walk around them to get a seat. awesome place, wish I could remember the name.
