What are the advantages of ePassPorte?

I know everyone loves ePassPorte, but I have never tried it...what are the special perks of it?

iggysick 03-21-2006 09:11 AM

For me:
before epass: sponsor cuts check, I wait 2 weeks for check to arive by snail mail and than wait 2 weeks to cash in check in bank (if amount is larger than 100$)
after epass: sponsor payout on epass, I go to nearest ATM and take da money same day :thumbsup

FYI...not everyone loves ePassporte.

Do a search here and I think you'll find otherwise.

From a sponsors point of view, makes payouts quick and easy!

hmm, mine was $520 from the start.
But I got the feeling you can raise it if you send some docs.
I'm not exactly sure about that.

Daily limit in croatian banks and their cards is around 320$ too but with my epass card I can withdraw 500$ without any problems

Michael O 03-21-2006 09:22 AM

There is a daily limit of $320 if the account is opened using a CC.
There is a daily limit of $520 if the account is opened by a sponsor.
All limit can be raised depending on your current balance.

Some countries/banks has a limit on how much you can withdraw in one day.

Umm, so the only point of this is quick cash? What if I don't want cash and just want to use the money to pay my credit card? I think I'd prefer a direct deposit to my bank account. I don't need another "bank."

nico-t 03-21-2006 09:37 AM

well, for me the biggest advantage is no check costs, since my bank here in holland snatches hahaha8364;12,50 off of every check i cash...

nico-t 03-21-2006 09:38 AM

If you're outside the US and work with US sponsors than you should really try it.

No, that's not really want I meant. I'm kinda asking what the advantages would be for me to switch from cashing checks in the US to using ePassPorte. I'm wondering if I should do a switch over.
