Ccbill afilliates check your linking codes....

I just noticed that some programs dont support the 7 digit ccbill number when you add it to the cookies. So you are only geting 6 digits in your referal code and traffic and sales are going else were........

http://www.xgirlsonline.com/ is one of them. I gotta go back and look at others
i have listed. I will post here what i find.....

Dirty F 03-21-2006 06:24 AM

Huh? If i understood that correctly thats pretty bad.

gornyhuy 03-21-2006 06:25 AM

Oh fuck... man I can't be policing every god damn ref code on every site on the internet.... ;)

Scotty.T 03-21-2006 06:56 AM

I found a couple a while back. I emailed the progs about it but no response and no change on it either. Let me dig them up...

Scotty.T 03-21-2006 07:01 AM

OK I had xgirlsonline too:) Another was FelixFlow, but he has fixed it at long last.

There were others but I can't find them at the moment. I just got in to the habit of double checking my codes after I generate them now

Scotty.T 03-21-2006 07:10 AM

Oh and xgirlsonline 7 digit is still broke for me too.

DutchTeenCash 03-21-2006 07:26 AM

true

its not ccbill its the script they use, the cookie ccbill id script takes 6 digits, but to be honest I thought 99% fixed that.

Ours is custom coded so no worries.

From threads that I have read over the past week or so I now have to do an additional check and check that the affiliate ID is being passed to the join page.

Ok how would i check that. Yeah yeah i know stupid question....

Scotty.T 03-21-2006 07:55 AM

Clear your cookies for the site in question. Look under the site name and the CCBill cookie.

Go to the site through the link you are checking, all the way to the join page...

View source for the join page...

And search for your aff ID.

it took me a second to wrap my mind around what you guys are talking about

From my understanding of this, this is not a CCBill issue, the client has chosen a unique way to present affiliates their linking codes to them through their affiliate site. I had not checked if that system is or is not working correctly

If an affiliate were to sign up to the program and go into the CCBill admin to pull the linking codes, the codes would be correct.
