I burn some stuff off TIVO but have really avoided actually pirating dvds unless its something impossible to find for purchase, or out of print.

You're also counting (I assume) your kids movies, I'm not.

Some of them do.. some don't... depends wether or not the individual discs in the sets have UPC's... and like on your list, you list all three Die hard's seperately, as do I, even though my set is in an actual box...
and you've got a couple discs listed twice : )

If you cant afford to buy it, stealing it isnt an option IMHO.

Why? I like the collector's editions and some rare ones that aren't available for rent or likely hard to find pirated, it's too much of a pain to rent and burn, I like to have the original (case and all) ... and even though I could get full versions pirated, I just can't be bothered.

I don't mind spending on things I want.

I like to be able to actually have dolby digital 5.1 or DTS which you don't get from pirated movies unless you edited the video file and convert the audio track to 5.1 which isn't really the same.

it's the three movies put into a custom case..

I have about 10 dvds and only 3 of them are original.


As for PS2 games (which are also dvds formats) I have about 25 games and only 2 are originals (the ones I bought with the console). Believe it or not, in my country you can't find original PS2 games.
