Programs: Protect your free content from misuse
 

ADVICE TO PROGRAMS: In your free content policy, you should add this:

"You may not display more than 1 full image at a time. You may display up to 30 thumbs on any single page, provided these thumbs link to individual images. You may not place multiple full sized images on a single page.

On any html page where our full images appear, links to our program must be the only paying links on the page. On pages that contain our thumbnails as a gallery, our program can be the only paying link off the page.

Individual thumbs or reduced sized images can be used freely on blogs, information sites, or review sites provided that they link to our program, galleries that contain our content, or to promotional pages that promote our program. "

That's bullshit. I can understand the issue where other sites are promoted more prominently than the actual content site, but not allowing affiliates to put other promotional links on our pages is totally idiotic. I might as well go out and build galleries with 30 thumbs linking to full size pics with 1 outbound link and submit those to TGPs thus making the free content issue even worse.

I build these pages to get SE traffic.. As such it is less traffic but better quality. And I need to get it to buy something and if they don't buy from that full size pic, I want them to buy something else. If I can't maximize my traffic than I might as well do what everone else does and slap as much content on a page as I can and submit it to TGPs.
