I'll tell you... SPOILERS AHEAD It might be a great book if it's the first one you ever read, if not, you can easily tell the guy has absolutely no writing skill. The book is way overhyped because of its religious/controversies, but nobody really wants to talk about the plot, or lack thereof. From the get-go you can tell this is a cheasy Hoolywood-type book. I was very anxious to read it, since everybody kept on telling me how good it was, but as soon as I realized it would be another innocent-guy-getting-chased-by-the-police-for-a-murder-he-didn't-commit-story, I was like "Oh, hell no." I read A LOT. I've read worse, but not much worse than this. The stunts the main character pulls off in the book are worthy of a 007 movie. There are just so many of these it's ridiculous. Like at the bank and the airport where he escapes like it's no damn thing. Before I was halfway through the book I new what the authors formula was: the good guys are one step ahead of the bad guys. Worthless, two page long chapters show the author is witless and that he really doesn't know how to tell a story. It's just pitiful. I couldn't even bring myself to finisf it. A friend told me the ending and I just burst out laughing. Face it: what he says is interesting, but it's a shitty novel. It's like he had all this interesting stuff he wanted to talk about and put together this childish plot to get it done. |
never read the book but that site looks cool
Oh did I forget to mention that the Harvad professor and the cryptologist together have the brain of a turnip, fighting hard to solve little riddles that would be a joke for kid.
Hey, at least Dan Brown got a lot of people to read, and I give him credit for that. |

that's his writing style....

The most eagerly-awaited film of the year. It remains to be seen to what extent the film will be as controversial as the best-selling novel.
I just hope it would remain loyal to the book
