Why do TGP's sell quietly?
Madthumbs just sold and some others. Why do it quietly? Very few things sell for a good price with reduced competition. Just seems odd.

what ?
should we make news about selling tgps now ? |
its not like any rep is changing companies :1orglaugh

It's not like a public company or whatever with stockholders, just a private deal.

I sold a site... and just acquired a new site this week-end.
Shall I start a couple new threads :winkwink: |
He obviously means that he thinks it would fetch a bigger price if more people actually knew it was for sale.
|
Madthumbs have been sold?
|
You get an offer you are willing to accept.
|
This is only a guess, but the people in this industry capable of running a site successfully AND that have enough money to purchase one is somewhat limited. Since the buyers and sellers most likely already know each other, there's not much point in mentioning the sale on a public board where it's more likely to draw negative or critical comments than find a new qualified buyer.

who bought madthumbs? I noticed they changed some of their banner advertising at the top of thepage, but thats it. It looked like it was all for nasty dollars sites - did they buy it? anyone have an idea of what a site like madthumbs would go for?
|
it was sold to nastydollars according to rumours:)
|
Wow, I'm surprised ND bought it. I wonder how much madthumbs sold for.
