Google Sued Over Lowering Company?s Ranking
 

Kinderstart.com, a parental advice site, has filed a lawsuit against Google for unfairly lowering it?s ranking without a reason or warning. They claim that in March of 2005 their site fell in the ranking and as a result had lost 70% of it?s traffic and about 80% decline in revenue. As a result they seek financial damages as well as details about Google?s ranking algorithm.

you never had any sort of contract or agreement with google, your site just ended up in the system and was given good result


now that same system that gave you the good result now gives that good result to some other site in the same way you originally got it

I really wonder what goes through the (small) minds of these people sometimes. Stupidity aside...I can only imagine the PR result of a dumbass lawsuit against Google.

Oh yeah - I'd definitely want to deal with a company stupid enough to attempt a stunt like this.
