AdultFriendFinder.... WTF.

Who do I have to blow to get pictures of RavenRiley off of your profiles???

I've sent emails out to everyone I thought I knew there that were all nice to me in person and gave me biz cards and promised me this type of thing would never happen on thier watch... and now how many minutes does it take a surfer to see one of our stolen images on your site???

And what REALLY pisses me the fuck off, is that they are your goddamn AD TOOLS that you provide to OTHER webmasters.... so not only are you allowing unlicensed content in the FIRST place, but your providing the images to every fucking webmaster you have....

I found one in less than a minute.

http://www.filecabi.net/video/soldiertwistershake.html reload that page a few times

also do a search on girls from costa rica...

I'll end the rant now, but seriously, WHO do I contact and HOW to get stolen unlicensed material removed from YOUR server?

jaYMan 03-19-2006 04:04 PM

http://jaymanwashere.com/jayman1.jpg

ill pay for every screenshot anyone reading this can find of ravenriley or any other girls that AFF doesnt have licenses to use.

Nasty 03-19-2006 04:07 PM

Pics not being pulled from aff, being pulled from http://www.filecabi.net/aff/

aff ad is an iframe using java to match aff profiles with local images

iwantchixx 03-19-2006 04:08 PM

almost all their GEOip ad materials are unlisceneced pics.

Pretty mch 90% of the pics in their GEOip ads are stolen pics. There's no way it's the "users" uploading the pics either because the pics are all handpicked to be used on display. Sure some of the profile names and locations are real, but the pics that match them are not.

Lace 03-19-2006 04:09 PM

LOL...Fuck AFF....Period.

andrej_NDC 03-19-2006 04:10 PM

see sig...

nothing surprise me about AFF btw

Love Sex 03-19-2006 04:11 PM

That's right the pictures are not on our servers. http://www.filecabi.net/aff/49.jpg

I will contact the affiliate and have him remove unlicensed images.

jaYMan 03-19-2006 04:14 PM

Sagi, how do I prevent this in the future?

I mean its really gotten bad in the past week or so, I've got tons of msgs about this, and I obviously have the wrong contact info for ya, cuz I thuoght for sure you would have taken care of my initial request without me having to act like a lunatic on the boards.

I think shutting down thier account and forwarding me thier check would be the right thing to do in this case, not a warning saying dont do that.

They fucking KNOW not to do that.

RawAlex 03-19-2006 04:17 PM

Sagi, I have to say that your answer is a bit soft. Think about it:

The affiliate has lied to the public, sold memberships with fraudulent information, mislead the public, and you will just asking him to "take down that picture"?

It seems to me that Jayman is right here... shut down the account, stop paying them, and perhaps even forward the money to Jayman for the misuse of the images. I honestly wonder what the public would think if they knew.

Alex

djroof 03-19-2006 04:19 PM

many sponsors has the same problem, like Medium Pimpin with Crissy Moran pics!

chadglni 03-19-2006 04:21 PM

Raven is on about 500000 myspace profiles too. Be sure to message all of them while you're on your crusade.

Why don't you cut the bullshit?

You guys have the system designed specifically like this, so that people can do this and in turn send you more clicks

you guys like to pretend you care by saying "we will contact the affiliate and have him remove that"

but in all reality, you know that only 1 pic out of every 1000 stolen pictures promoting you guys will be reported.. so you leave things the way they are, all the while pretending you guys actually care..

i've seen so many pictures of katesplayground, ravenriley etc etc all over your ads...

theres a reason fusker was a huge AFF affiliate for so long. cause they don't care

kudos to you guys! :thumbsup

He should stick to the sponsors who are PAYING people who do it. Terminate their accounts first, so that they don't get paid.

Alphonso 03-19-2006 04:27 PM

i don't have to, raven's fans do it for us...

We work with myspace's attorneys everyday, at least they comply and respond to removing our trademarked property.

I didn't even get a responce outta AFF, and I also assumed they were hosting the ADTOOLS. I was wrong, they aren't the thieves, I know that now, but they are paying them... so I still have an issue. They are profiting from stolen content, just as bad.

Any fake myspace's I can have down within 24 hours and redirected to our real one. With AFF, I didn't seem to get anywhere at all, until I went nuts on the board.

As a webmaster though, I'd prefer using my own images (or selecting from a specific number of images to serve). It makes it easier to market to my audience. At the same time, its definitely easy to abuse but like Sagi said, he will contact the webmaster to take it down. There is no easy solution to fixing this problem and offering webmasters the ability to use their own images.

Who cares how hard it is for AFF to fix?

That's like saying, it's hard for GUBA to look through all their user submitted content to see if they have any stolen content... like the Paris hilton sex tape for example...

if it's too hard, then remove that feature... it's not jaymans or any other content owners responsibility to have to look for their content on their system and spend time and resources having it removed.

He can't cut the bullshit or they'll have a huge backlash on GFY. Also, if everything was "taken care of" the way many here want the adult industry as we know it would pretty much collapse. Some things are better left "unknown".

RawAlex 03-19-2006 04:40 PM

No, the adult industry as we know it wouldn't collapse, it would just be different people making the money in a more honest manner.

Fake profiles and misleading ads are a way to get the FTC knocking on the door.

You disregarded the "as we know it". And yes, with all of the shit people take serious offense to this industry would be making far less money / therefore less money to go around. Doesn't matter if it's different people or not, less money is less money.

Brujah 03-19-2006 04:49 PM

chadglni, what exactly are you saying? because it sounds like you're saying you support content theft, or stealing as long as it'll make you a $1 at the end of the day.

We don't we provide a system for affiliates to use our real members. If they choose to use model photos (from our system that we have rights to) it comes with a disclaimer. This affiliate is using javascript code to replace our images with his own selected ones.

Sagi, would not using the "replace image" script be a violation of your terms because it makes fake member profiles? False advertising and all... knowingly paying affiliates that are misleading the public seems like a pretty weird place for a business to hang it's hat.

We've actually been dealing with this recently. I've been having affiliates place disclaimers when using images that are not our real members. I will also be including a note in our April newsletter to get the word out.

Penthouse Tony 03-19-2006 05:31 PM

I've spoken with JaYMan and the affiliate. I beleive they both spoke as well. The image is already pulled and he'll be switching to using just our ads that use a disclaimer and images we have rights to.

hopefully this case is closed and I can go back to enjoying my Sunday afternoon :)

this case may be closed, but we send out at least three C and D a week, and DMCA notices for the same bullshit .

and we always got the same answear when we asked too.

is there not a way you guys can stop this ?

lush_life 03-19-2006 06:08 PM

filecabi = owned... now they are not going to be able to afford thier bandwidth

Wiggles 03-19-2006 06:18 PM

its easy to use custom pics with a script, thats what alot of people are doing.

sfera 03-19-2006 06:26 PM

wow this is a big shit storm, I would be pissed off like jayman if someone else was profiting off my investment. I think AFF should monitor their own affiates and no leave it up to other ppl (like jayman) to find them and then bitch you out. my 2c

Yup, and the problem is for AFF that this means that the advertising for thier site is, well, not entirely honest. That could cause issues that have nothing to do with chat boards of DMCA paper.

Sort of like all those "85% of members get laid" spams. It isn't honestly, it isn't true... misleading advertising.

All of the geotarget ads are misleading when a photo is used... Never the photo of the person whose profile shows... And a few times there has been the same photo with different profiles on the multi-profile banners... kinda funny :)

of course there is a way

it's just that they don't want to give up the extra money they make from people using stolen content to send traffic to AFF
