My Sunday Around Melbourne ? Lots of Pictures
 

What a great day I had on Sunday. I decided to sleep in until 10.00am. I did a few hours work and then headed over to Docklands, which is a new development here in Melbourne.

The first picture is of a new high rise that has been built and overlooks the water.

The next one is of an old ship that is permanently fixed there for tourist to go and have a look. I did not go on there as there were to many people on there, but it looks great.

Then I decided to go and have some lunch at a new restaurant called The Quay which is owned by celebrity Sam Newman. The food was fantastic, they have a stone grill menu where you can cook your own food on your table. I started of with some tasty prawns, followed by a nice steak and then washed down with a nice bottle of red wine. I love the stone grill, you could cook just about everything on there, such a great idea.

Cool to see the Polly Woodside is still down there & the Docklands look like it's really taking off. I havn't been down that way for years now, but still looks like a vibrant place. :)

Those are some great pics - I never got to Melbourne when I visited Australia years ago, but now I wish I did!

Btw, do you notice how many people, esp. cab drivers it seems, pronounce 'quay' incorrectly? It's not "kway" it's "key". Just an observation :)
