Who Goes to the Kentucky Derby?
 

Who on here makes an annual trip to the Kentucky Derby? Its coming up ya know...

My best friend is going to be there, but this will be her first. She is living up in the area nearby and she is very excited

I used to live about 6 blocks from Churchill Downs. I always hated Darby because of the traffic around my place. Now that I'm five minutes away, I like it much better. I will be there (unless I go to Hawaii with friends the same week)

Live here gets boring as fuck lol

i dont hit the horse races much but if you go to the greyhound track you can watch the dogs chase my ass around the track

i was sitting in a bar a few years ago, while the preakness stakes was being run.

i hadnt really paid much attention to pony racing until then.

i really get into the energy around the triple crown.

so much excitement for less than 10 minutes of racing.

awesome.

i really want to take 6 weeks off work, and follow the races.
gonna need some serious cash to do it right.

My family has had box seats there since I can remember (and I'm 44). I haven't gone in years though - that side of the family no longer talks to me ;) My grandfather used to always get everyone in the box engraved silver mint julep glasses with their name and date on them. I'm sure I have several in a box somewhere :) It's an incredible party and if you're a female, you MUST have an incredible hat to wear!!
