Always been an annual fee of $5 for the virtual card so it shouldn't come as a surprise for you.
The fee's to my knowledge haven't change since ePassporte began doing business.

Is it possible to disable the virtual card? I've never used it, and don't think will use that feature anytime soon...

I am sure there isn't... but that's only $5 per year.

yea, it's not much, but if shooting a quick email to epass is going to save me $5, why not?

Can I obtain an ePassporte Visa Electron card without getting an ePassporte Virtual Visa?

No, you must obtain an ePassporte Virtual Visa prior to obtaining your ePassporte Visa Electron card.

You are very right, never let the value of money get out of your sight, no matter how much you earn.

David! 03-19-2006 07:35 AM

It's not for $5, it's for the fact that for the life of me I have yet to find a place where that damn virtual card works:1orglaugh

wyldblyss 03-19-2006 07:41 AM

Really? Works lots of places. In fact, I used it about 5 times this week. I bought some computer stuff, bought domain names...once in a while it doesn't work, but for the most part it works pretty well everywhere I have tried it.

GatorB 03-19-2006 07:51 AM

Whining over $5 a year? I have 3 Capital One cards that charge me $40 a year EACH.

Bill Gates to GatorB, "Whining over $50,000 per year? I have 3 cars that cost me $100,000 per year in maintenence."

Do you see how stupid your statement is now?

ffmihai 03-19-2006 08:32 AM

thats an old fee whats wrong with you?

Silent_Thunder 03-19-2006 08:33 AM

I would pay even $50 for that. There is no analogy for Epassporte here in my country, so I'm loving it with my whole heart! :)

No, because I don't make anywhere near $300K a year. I would hope that that guy makes over $5 a year.

I just used it to sign my kid up to the Toronto Maple Leafs fan club. Worked no problem.

Doctor Dre 03-19-2006 09:40 AM

Jesus guys it's only 5 bucks... don't be so greedy

ThumbLord 03-19-2006 09:43 AM

it is not the money, but if you do not use the virtual card .......... why pay for it.
The other thing is (in my case) that I am getting a little upset since I have the feeling I have to pay too much for everything with epassporte.

candyflip 03-19-2006 09:48 AM

I have never, nor will I ever use the Virtual Card.

Is there a way to shut this down?

fris 03-19-2006 10:41 AM

cause we all know 5 dollars is a lot of money

Epassporte is still by far the cheapest way for me to receive money quickly. They could raise their fees and I would still be saving money.

don't give them ideas... :error

I have not once used the 'virtual visa'. Never plan on it either. I've got enough cards to worry about. $5 or $500 - it doesnt matter. Still rediculous fee's

The one and only reason I use epassporte is to get faster payouts. I get payment right away and then transfer it to my bank acct.
But if it takes as long as it did last time (9 days) I will be dropping epass perm.

V_RocKs 03-19-2006 02:50 PM

I make a lot of money... Click the sponsors in my sig... Make money too... Then stop bitching about $5 annual payments you cry babies.

V_RocKs 03-19-2006 02:53 PM

For the next 10 people who ask for it, I will give you $5 via epassporte.

If you are that much of a fucktard...

Who needs me to cover their virtual visa fee?

It is 1:45 on my clock... Check the post time and do some math.

You have 15 minutes to reply in this thread and show everyone you are a true PUSSY.

V_RocKs 03-19-2006 02:54 PM

10:08 GFY time for those of you who can't synchronize.

Juicy D. Links 03-19-2006 02:57 PM

I also have had alot of experiences with not being able to use the virtual card in places. In fact, it's worked less often for me than not worked.

lakroze 03-19-2006 03:38 PM

virtual and electron card works great for me

Vitasoy 03-19-2006 04:49 PM

Someone should make a list of places where it works, it's really a hit or miss for me

V_RocKs 03-19-2006 09:41 PM

Hit and miss for me too... So I just withdrawl $800 and pay cash....

$5 to receive money instantly electronically is ridiculous? Do you even use banks? WTF.

I paid 2.9% to receive with Paypal, losing money left right and center, until they finally canned me for adult transactions. Now I receive the money cheaper with no risk of getting termed for adult. $5/yr? Do you people make any money at all? Come on. Woj, you too.

Do you bank with any offshore banks? St Kitts, Curacao, Belize, Antillgua... Debit cards issued from these countries sometimes don't work thanks to scrubbing. Fact of life. Don't like it? Use an American-based company.

KitA 03-20-2006 01:11 PM

5 $ per year is fair price

jjjay 03-20-2006 01:23 PM

they nickel and dime you to death...
