Saturday Nights Main Event returns tonight!
 

I remember back in the day when it was on in place of Saturday Night Live from time to time and I'd stay up to watch Hulk Hogan.

No Hulkster tonight unfortunately, but Shane McMahon is fighting Shawn Michaels in a street fight... There should be some wild stunts in that.

Now though it doesn't matter who fights, it's all shit...

I used to love it wayyy back when it was Sgt. Slaughter and the Iron Shiek and all that. I tried to watch a few years ago and I couldn't believe how silly it was but come to think of it... it was silly back then too, I was just a lot younger then.

I may watch this for nostalgic reasons. I was a huge fan of wrestling when I was young (and up until 4-5 years ago) and it was something special to stay up late on saturday night's to watch the main event.

That's a neat trick, considering they haven't done the NBC Main Event since 1992 - unless you meant 14 - 15 years ago.

I still watch the DVD's they brought out, with all the old events from years ago.

I knew it was silly, but it was still fun which it isn't anymore...

No way! I remember when I was a kid waiting up & crossing my fingers, "not Saturday Night Live...not Saturday Night Live!". I'm sure my parents were rooting for SNL, but I wanted to see wrestling.
