weird ucj stats
 

i have a trade with one of my own sites that usually sends about 150 hits a day.

today i log into my ucj stats and see over 11,000 hits for the past 24 hours. i look at the referring urls and i have 10,977 hits from one of my sites with no link to my cj site. another 222 from a gif file on that same site.

this is what i have for incoming repetitive ip's
105 - 152.163.188.164
95 - 66.42.2.231
94 - 64.12.96.71
90 - 205.188.208.135
10689 - none

and a bunch of ip's that look like normal amounts for the traffic the site usually sends.

anyone have an idea what this is? i've checked the sites and don't see anything unusual. also counter stats for the sites in question are all reporting normal traffic.

Contact your trade partners for the site you own that is sending the funky stats. Maybe you were nailed by a hitbot fuckhead.

the only site thats sending hits to it is persian kitty, the site has no trade partners. i know she's not hitbotting my site :)

Sometimes crazy shit like that happens. I'll get emails like that every now and then where someone will say that they got HUGE hits from me that looked fishy. I don't understand the full concept, but I think if someone hitbots your site, those screwy hits can travel through your trades, which gives the impression that you're cheating them.

there's 2 links on the page and neither of those are reporting anything weird. thats what has me scratching my nuts
