My theory on relationships
 

It might be the Johnnie talking, but this is my very simple relationship theory:

1) If any seemingly minuscule facet of your relationship makes you unhappy, you should perform a clean cut and find someone else that better suits you.

I don't think it gets more black & white then that. You should not have to change anything about yourself, for someone else.
