Ok, I am so hungry now.. :( |
Knish's should be round. My Bubbie (grandmother) made the worlds best Kinish's hands down. Homemade old school with onions and potato and homemade dough fried in smaltz. yummmmm people would line up in the old Brooklyn neighborhood for their share when it was Kinish time.

I think its been years since I have eaten one

Carbs shmarbs! They ate bagels but jeez, when my grandmother made her homemade bagels, they were small, not the humungous things you see today that are all light and airy and more like dessert. Puleeze, chocolate chip bagels? Sun dried tomato bagels? Poppy seed with a shmear! Kugel was a staple and godnose it's not low carb or low fat. I don't even want to think what was in the kishke that was so good. |
love them with mustard inside.... damn im hungry now!
