It is an African Serval. It will grow to be 8 times the size of a normal housecat, around 40 lbs. Yes its legal to own. :)

An F1 would be half serval / half domestic. They call those Savannah cats.
F2 is one quarter
F3 is one eighth
F4 is one sizteenth

He is 100% Serval... so he isnt F anything. :)

Is it domesticated? Not technically. People have had them as pets in Africa for a couple thousand years. If treated properly and raised from a really early age, they will be nothing more than very large lap cats. You do have to get them declawed however.

And yes, it goes in a litter box. A very large one. He has his own entire room in my house.

As for food you can feed them whole chickens etc if you want, or you can buy specialty exotic cat food. Right now he is still being fed with a baby bottle. That bonds them to the person feeding them. I am for all intents and purposes, mommy.

At a novelty shop in the area. I was ecstatic when I found him. ahahah

Used to have an Abyssinian that was similar in Tempermant to your cats Labret...though it was probably due to inbreeding and not breed.

Last month I ended up with a Siamese, and I think if that deal had fallen through I would have gotten an Abyssinian instead. Those are beautiful cats.

This was the only cat I have had ( in a long line of cats) that looked like it lifted weights....the thing was PUMPED...and of course his name was Lucifer. Loved people ( for some twisted reason) but couldn't stand ANY other animal....he'd go after Pit Bulls, Sheperds, racoons etc...

had a Seal Point for 10 yrs...just got a black mutt... first non pure bred cat I have ever had....
