Testing IP Fansigns Check it out for me (PICS)
 

I just installed the IP fansigns and POTD w/thumbs. I just wanted to test the IP data base. This is the free IP Data Base it comes with. I?ll be updating to a new one that is Pay. I just want to see how far off this one is.

Works here. San Diego. Though I usually get El Cajon with other IP programs, which is probably technically correct.

Awesome! It works for me...the towns off by a few miles, but it's the same as every other fan sign generator.

Says I am from Colorado Springs, even though my IP's hostname shows I am in the Temecula, CA area.

I'm told the free data is like 65% correct the pay is like 95% .. I'll post this again when i get the updated database .. see if it's closer

It has my general area... its as close as any ever are for me.. For some reason my IP is based about about 2 hours from me...

The city it lists is about a 45 min drive from me.

I've never seen that .. do you mind telling me the city name ..is it a long one ..how many letters?

thats why we decided to go with the maxmind country, the non USA data of all kinda suppliers is really wrong, see the town it displays for me is kinda in a hillbilly area, Im sure ppl would be offended if youd made a text like hey there you from XXX

Worked for me accurately. I like the 1st one.

See what Mayor's Money is using. His shit is right on. Along with AFF. They are the only ones who have my city right. Usually its Calgary or freakin Deroche.

none of em are more than 80%, i dont care what anyone says. we've tested em. proxies and such will always fuck you up. 70%-80% is a pretty good % when it comes to geoip.
