Why the f*ck should I click on that stupid windows update icon??? Now the computer have frozen almost to a stop, the CPU is working constantly on 100% and that stupid update dowloads like 1% every four minutes... I can't abort it either. Crap :mad:

You are free to use Linux or buy a Mac. Or invent you own OS since you think MS is a monopoly. Anyone here remember the 80's? See had one friend than had an Apple II, another had a IBM another had a Commodore 64 and another had a Texas Instruments another had that Radio Shack POS thing, Tandy I think. And guess what, NONE of them worked the same fucking way. Yeah real great days without the "monopoly".

XP is very shitty -- especially when you have a crack! LOL

I use Fedora Core 4 it's Linux and doesn't give me any unexpected crashes that really used to piss me off when I used the horible Windows.

Yes many things you can't dow ith a Mac which is why they suck. Apple had it's chance 20 years ago and blew it. Move on.

If you are afraid to goto a UNIX based OS, install win2k3 server on your workstation then disable any services and your system will scream, I have it installed on my other laptop, worked like a charm :)

The same people that complain about all the problems with Windows, XP, etc are the same people who don't even know how to properly operate the fucking thing and shouldn't be using a computer in the first place.

Update finally downloaded and installed :thumbsup Now everything runs smoothly again and I can get some work done. Ain't life sweet...

It actually works pretty decent here, there are some issues here and there, but nothing kicking the computer won't fix...

You should shift now to LINUX. Well, am not using it either it's not user-friendly but if you wanted to totally get out of that mess then you should now start to learn another platform. I am even pissed off by my IE here.:disgust

I would rather buy another computer every time XP fucked up than use Mac or Linux. XP has never fucked up for me since I've had it and I have no idea why everyone has such problems. I guess I'm just lucky.

Dont mean to be a nitpicky prick here, but it was actually decided officially in court that microsoft is a monopoly. Whether you agree or not, microsoft is a convicted monopolist.

Really? Then you're one lucky person I guess. My XP always fuck up and even my browser is not doing well. It always hangs up and I have to close it everytime the "not responding" message comes out. Good thing I'm not dealing with IE the wholeday for I'm using firefox at home. IE sucks big time.:mad:

reinstall 3.11 for workgroups

use system restore and roll back to yesterdays settings
should be green light after doing that.

I heard this too. I would love to see the verification process on knowing whether a XP version is real or cracked. I think we could all benefit from it. :2 cents:

Not sure what country you're from, but it is possible a cracked version was installed when you purchased your system. I've picked up systems in different countries and have had pirated versions installed, and XP is even more unstable then it normally is.

thats why I run Windows 2k, Linux, Freebsd and Mac Osx :)

We adult webmasters are stuck with windows... Linux is not an option yet.
