How much is a business worth in Adult?
 

So, maybe I'm a dreamer, but what if I could get like 15 million people to opt-in to a nice adult site. It's sort of a myspace site but for adult. It's a BUSINESS not a freaking TGP. What do you think I can sell for?

People opting in does not guarantee sales. So the value of that would be strongly based on your ability to prove that it can make money. Without that, it's a buyer's market, it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

A lot of variables, but 15 Million users is worth quite a bit of moolah.

Hey did you see Bird Flu just arrived in Sweden today.

This is very very off base. I know it's been the popular response around GFY but that is not reflective of a sites worth.

It depends on the stability of the site and intangibles such as branding

I agree... although risky I would say a year for an adult site, and 2 years+ for a mainstream one.

Sure but I think he's asking more about "sticky" sites than income generating stuff. A TGP is a long way away from say an adult myspace. The TGP might make $5000 a month while the adult Myspace makes $0 but has 2 million active users. The Myspace clone would be worth much more. :upsidedow

Ofcourse it all depends on what sort of adult site we are talking about, how old it is how stable the income has been and so on....

It's porno ... in mainstream you don't really need to sell something... when you advertise coca cola, you don't sell it.

In adult it's a whole lot different.
