It's simply a form of advertising. It's comparable to paying a model to walk around a showroom floor wearing your programs gear. In fact it's almost the exact same thing, just brought to an internet forum.

It shows a complete lack of respect for the topic at hand. If your program or service is up to fitting the needs then at least have the gumption to explain how it is the better choice not just say see sig. I mean MOST of us are bright enough to figure that out and if I have to go to the website to find out on my own why would I give you (the sig-seers) the credit by clicking yout aff link.

Would it kill you to write one or two short sentences about the program in the sig?

Many of these people just drop into discussions and post "oh yeah, I like that" and "I would hit it" or "your kidding". They do it only to get the sigs into the discussion, not to add to what is going on here...

I don't mind people who are active in the business or at least decent posters selling their sig (gee, I did the pussycash thing for the fuck of it this time around), but people who are just going board to board adding bullshit posts and making banner views isn't doing anything for the rest of us.

It is ok:

• To be a useless shirt whore on a showroom floor who contributes nothing to the community. Because people can stare at your tits.

Difference is, you don't need to look at the shirt or the tits. You can just walk away

And if you and a friend are having a discussion, the girl and 3 of her other friends won`t barge in in the middle of the convo to add absolutely nothing to the conversation.
