Do you guys think people make bad/annoying GFY SKINS on purpose to some extent?

Sort of like making a TV show that is so bad you just HAVE to watch it (i.e. Wife Swap and all that sort of rot)?

Whatever gets your attention -- whether it be your approval or disapproval is what works in the marketing world! So I definitely believe that people make annoying GFY skins and such on purpose.

Yes, it's just extra and/or free marketing by all of the threads started with the sponsor name in the title.

actually after a second thought SonofSam must be right
i bet the skin preparation looks like this:

- program owner: hey dude you got some spare time now?
- designer: nah sorry, beating off now
- program owner - np, hit me up when you;'re ready

after 3 mins

- designer: yo, im done, what ya want
- program owner: you dude we want to skin GFY, do us some samples
- designer: what does it need to say
- program owner: live sex awards
- designer: kool,what color?
- program owner: some shitty one

after 2 hours:

- designer: yo i got some sample here take a look
- program owner: sorry, wtf is that? it looks too good, colours are nice, and text is clear and visible. Shit, its even so good that people will start threads "is the Live sex awards skin the best one yet in GFY history" ?
this will draw attention to our program, that would suck :(
so dude ya need to correct your skin, make it a shitty one, the worse it looks the better, remember

absolutely - the font that LSA used for this skin is difficult to read and looks kind of arabic which makes people look to find out what the words actually mean and also draws much more attention to it due to potential 'controversy' (and we all know that GFYer's LOVE controversy :winkwink: ).

Personally I don't like this skin much from an aesthetic point of view, but from a marketing point of view they certainly seem to have made an impression and THAT is the main thing when you spend as much money as it costs to skin GFY.:2 cents:

I'm not sure that this hard to read font was a good idea. All I can understand about this skin is that it's about some Live Sex awards run by some guys I don't know that may be Al Quaeda affiliated.

Are they well funded? No one talks about that

I'm not saying they are bad people or that what they have isn't legit, I'm just saying when doing a skin it's best to make it clear as well as good looking.

either way, there is always a couple people who start threads "new skin rocks" and a few that start the "worst skin ever" threads.

all i know, the occash skin will cover more than the header. it will be the very first "uncircumsized" gfy skin.
