Is Noah's Ark To Be Found? New Satellite Images.

http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/space/0...ark/index.html

This sort of scam has been going on since who knows when. Somebody is always claiming Noah's Ark is on Mt. Ararat and somebody is always lookin' for money to do an exploration.

How fucking simple would it be to just hop in a helicopter and find the fuck out?

NooooOOOoooo.. We gotta have a mystery with the Turkish government about this shit and it drags on and on.

StuartD 03-14-2006 09:57 AM

Noah's Ark was doing great until the 2 lions discovered the 2 gazelles and the 2 dogs discovered the 2 cats that discovered the 2 mice....

Zprogramz 03-14-2006 09:57 AM

It's all a bunch of bullshit just like religion itself.

Religions are ALWAYS looking to scientifically prove their beliefs to the rest of the world -- even when they're just grasping at straws! Oh look, another straw!

What is funny about this is that the bible does not even state that the ark landed on Mount Ararat. It only says it landed in the Urartian mountains, of which there are hundreds.

PixeLs 03-14-2006 07:47 PM

Only a fucking moron would believe that one.

So you're saying religious artifacts are fake and of little importance?

Hey thats why there is no more dinosaurs! They couldn't fit them on the boat :1orglaugh

Sly 03-15-2006 12:46 AM

Not that I believe the Ark existed, because I don't. But I do think religious artifacts are important.

kenny 03-15-2006 12:48 AM

God told me to build a space ship to salvage a select few

I just need to gather a pair of each animal so they can reproduce afterwards

Who is in?

If he's not, I will...

Fuck Religion before it fucks you...!

Anything that makes you believe you see something in a piece of toast speaks volumes about the people who follow it.

I'd say so... religion has no place in modern society. It's like reading a history book that has been twisted and modified over the centuries. It's all just a bunch of bullshit that was originally intended to be used as law to keep people in line with the moral and ethical beliefs of the time.

I used to work as a remote sensing analyst, and I'm prepared to say that the pic on that cnn link is inconclusive. That looks more like a ridge line to me, more than anything. Drink enough beer and it'll turn into an ark. Heck, drink a few bottles of whiskey and the Swedish Bikini Team might show up on it as well.

Lev 03-15-2006 01:12 AM

I could care less about Noah's Arc, but Mt. Ararat is not Turkish, it is Armenian and will always stay Armenian. Fuck Turkey!

Dravyk 03-15-2006 01:14 AM

There was no Noah's ark.

But, ok, let's pretend for one moment there was ...

He would have had to bring along two termites. 'Splain that! :1orglaugh

Thomas1007 03-15-2006 01:14 AM

there is definately something there. Discovery channel doesnt lie.
I doubt its the "Ark" but there is something there for sure.
Besides who wouldnt believe a man made story about a fictional character
in a book that was written by men that came to a decision to make man believe in pure Bullshit for their own means.
:2 cents: :thumbsup

vvq 03-15-2006 01:14 AM

this isn't mars. why don't we just go take a look?

PussyTeenies 03-15-2006 01:32 AM

problem is Mt. ararat is located inside a military base
no way on earth are they going to let some geeks go in there

SilentKnight 03-15-2006 01:38 AM

Its never been found...and never will be found - simply because it doesn't exist.

Ackum's Razor - all things being equal, the simplest explanation is most often the correct one.

Its sadly amusing in this day and age...the number of people who still take the fictional stories in the bible as fact.

=] EVIL [= 03-15-2006 01:58 AM

noah is a twink

Matt 26z 03-15-2006 02:30 AM

The Bible is not pure fiction. It is an accurate documentation of history from that period. The people, places and general events are true. It is the supernatural aspect of some stories that people question.

For anyone to say that Noah, Moses, Jesus, etc... never even existed and that they are fictional characters is just ignorant. They existed, but it is up for you to believe if they were more than just regular people.

The best location for Noah's Ark to date is down off the mountain. People want to believe it's in-tact on Mt. Ararat though, so this location doesn't get a whole lot of press even though there is substantial evidence. Petrified wood, some with the needed waterproof coating and also countless rivets...

Not every sub-type would have been on the boat. In theory, only the original animals would have been brought on and afterwards they would breed all of the various types once again. Read the part marked "Were Dinosaurs on the Ark?" here...

http://www.wyattnewsletters.com/noahark/na43.htm

This page is also quite interesting. It deals with how the dinosaurs could have evolved into such huge animals. Also touches on the earth's climate at the time.

http://www.wyattnewsletters.com/noahark/na44.htm

If you don't want to read all that, the theory is that it never rained as we know rain today prior to the flood. There was just a mist. This would also account for the huge lifespans of humans and animals as it would have provided an extra layer of protection around the earth. Then there was some sort of sudden climate change, and the mist turned into occational rain. This would also explain the flood... The earth's atmosphere suddenly emptying all that water.

Just something to ponder.

reed_4 03-15-2006 03:01 AM

Even if they found out the real noah's ark no one will give a damn about it.

chadglni 03-15-2006 03:03 AM

Your bibles must have all been missing a page. In mine it says Noah burned the ark during an unusually cold winter.

Man, seriously. look at the quality of your source.

You have people quoting bible verses to support their take on scientific topics? WTF? :1orglaugh

Greg B 03-15-2006 03:28 AM

The point I was making is that from day 1 biblical artifacts and the search for them has been a scam for millenia. You would be surprised at how many rich and poor people have paid who knows how much money for fake artifacts. Even Hitler fell for that shit.

As long as there's no scientific analysis it remains a mystery and that alone is breeding ground for scams.
