Best GSM Carrier For The New Motorola RAZR V3i?

I've been using SPRINT PCS for 10 years now but I'm done with CDMA. With all the International webmaster events these days I need to finally make the switch to a quadband GSM phone.

I'm going to pick-up a couple of unlocked V3i's for Allie and I. So, I'm hoping for some input as far as reliability of service here in the US and abroad from those using AT&T, Cingular or T-Mobile. I'm also planning to pick-up a wireless laptop card from the carrier I go with so any feedback on internet access with these companies would be very much appreciated.

Hi Jake,
same thing I had to do when I was with Verizon. I had the original Razr and it was a BIG POS. I broke it myself out of frustration. It never fucking worked good with Cingular as they sucked as well. I then went to TMobile and am very happy. I just grabbed the Pebl phone and I love it. Works great in and out of the country. Some people hate T-Mobile, but I will take them and pay for it before I would take Cingular for free. :2 cents:

theres a thread i made earlier about the recal and also all the providers have pulled them from the shelf

I guess a better question would be, does anyone here have the V3i?

Hey Lou, thanks for the feedback!

I switched from Motorola to a Blackberry on T-Mobile and I couldn't be happier.

I get much better reception in this area with TM than I did with Cingular.

I've heard that the SLVR is also a nice phone, but I'm hooked on the Blackberry.

If you need a v3, go with the v3x instead, v3i is the old version.

I thought the V3i was the latest, I'll check out the v3x right now, thanks!

I just googled it, I'm guessing v3i is a new version too, but maybe you like the v3x more since it has a 2.0mp with flash and other features, but the v3i is smaller than the v3x though.

Yeah, the V3x is definitly bigger, I'm still leaning toward the v3i. Just need to figure out which carrier to go with. :helpme
