No smokes in 22 days!
Quit 22 days ago! When does it get easy? I'm going crazy!
|
congrats... you have a future!
|
Congrats to you.
|
Congrats, and keep it up!
|
Nice Job.
Look around you. The people still there are your true friends. :-D Figure if you can make it past 1 week of nonsmoking for every year you've been smoking, you're in great shape. Though you'll never be totally free from the lure, it'll hopefully seem more and more like a whack idea to light up again. Think of all the crap you've already gone through, and why would you put your body through that torment again, eh? Cold turkey works for some. The Patch (followed the step-down system to the letter) helped me out a lot. 6 years now without a smoke after 8 years of a pack a day. I can even have the occasional Cuban without worry. |
congrats :)
|
Exellent dude.. you should also taste your food better by now
|
Congrats!
I dont have the power to quit but I need to:( |
keep it up and congrats, oh and it does get easier after a few months

I quit smoking last year after about 15 years. Good on you man, you deserve to live and be healthy, don't let cigarettes rob you of that.
Now's a great time to add a little exercise in to your life too if you aren't already. Even a good brisk walk daily. You'll feel better and better. |
I'll let you know when it gets easier for me! Congrats babe, we'll be non smokers together!

That was a god start, buddy! Congratulations..
|
congrats keep up the good work.
|
its been 11 months for me however, i did have like 6 cigs on Saturday night :( Im okay, still not smoking...just had a fun, fucked up night. I knew that I would be okay because I truly dont WANT to smoke..i dont want it in my house, i dont wanna pay for it, i dont want my clothes smelling like it everyday...the list goes on and on. Im not saying that Im gonna be a social smoker either but I know that i have a couple, that im not gonna "relapse". Its 100% mental. If you can get past that, take control, then you'll be ok.
The next day, I was a fuckin bitch though (nic withdrawl maybe? lol) only lasted till like mid afternoon then i was back to normal. Congrats on the quit, it never becomes "easy" cuz its everywhere. You'll always be tempted, just dont give in. :) |
If your still crazy after 3 weeks, you'll be crazy for the rest of your life.

Congrats on making it to 23 days smoke free.
I have quit smoking cigs and weed too cause I was just diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) I have been doing some reading about this and it looks like I may never recover from this. I guess it will be a wait and see type of thing. From The American Lung Association COPD Treatment The quality of life for a person suffering from COPD diminishes as the disease progresses. At the onset, there is minimal shortness of breath. People with COPD may eventually require supplemental oxygen and may have to rely on mechanical respiratory assistance. A recent American Lung Association survey revealed that half of all COPD patients (51%) say their condition limits their ability to work. It also limits them in normal physical exertion (70%), household chores (56%), social activities (53%), sleeping (50%) and family activities (46%). None of the existing medications for COPD has been shown to modify the long-term decline in lung function that is the hallmark of this disease. Therefore, the goal of pharmacotherapy for COPD is to provide relief of symptoms and prevent complications and/or progression of the disease with a minimum of side effects. So it looks like it here for life. I am hoping that I will be the one who is able to tell this COPD to take a flying fuck and kick its ass. |
