Cingular No longer selling V3 Razr

Heard it on the news they are no longer selling the razr due to some problems they found with the phones randomly turning off and the screens going bad. If you go to there website the all three razr's are temporarily out of stock. This sucks because my screen on my razr is starting to fuck up so I wonder what phone they will give me instead.

Hmm - I just got mine last month and the 30 days is already over :( So far no problems. I heard they had some call dropping issues with all RAZRS but were working on it.

You could have been a little more informative with your post:

"Popular US wireless carriers, Cingular and T-Mobile temporarily pulled the Motorola RAZR V3 cell phone from their product lines last week, due to a possible glitch.

The glitch reportedly causes the phones to periodically disconnect calls, power down, and restart, without any visible reason. Motorola spokesman, Alan Buddendeck says that this problem affects hahaha8220;a very limited number of RAZR handsets sold for GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) networks over the last four weeks,hahaha8221;

Motorola is currently going through inventory supplies to locate and recall units that could be affected by the glitch. Buddendeck says that the process will be finished, and RAZR phones will again be fully available within a few days.

Users who bought a defective RAZR in the past month are being instructed to contact their retailer for a free replacement."

My phone works great and I have not had any problems with it.

I got one for Xmas. It works ok, but I think I like my last phone better.

i have a first generation razr (which is worth some money because of the sms card that isn't available on the newer generations) and i have never had a problem with it (now i prolly jinxed myself).

I hate the RAZR (stupidly fucked named Motorola shit) V3x with a burning passion. The brick with an arial I had back in the mid 80s was far superior.

There are problems with batteries and the electrics in the hinge to the extent that most outlets give them away free now.

Gone back to using last years Sony V800 again and next time it will have to be taken away from me at gunpoint.

I love the Razr, never had a problem with them. And they're only stopping sales for a short time, ignore the title of this thread.

I"ve heard plenty of people complaining about them

Damn this makes me really glad I never got a new phone. I have had the same phone for over two years now and the contract is up. I just need to get a new battery and I think I am all good.

Peaches 03-13-2006 04:13 PM

I had the V400 (I think) and the battery ran down at least 2 times a day. The RAZR battery lasts several days and I have't had the problems mentioned, but I DID buy it during the time frame they are talking about. Will be interesting to see if I have a bad egg.
