Gallery Submission Question...
So, I used Chameleon to submit galleries ( great software ).
Well.. some of the galleries that I submitted last year are still getting quite a few hits, eating bw - no problem there. The problem comes when the surfer clicks through to the sponsor site.. they've changed hands and since added popups and exit consoles. Not to mention no conversions. What would be the best way to deal with this without getting myself blacklisted for changing/removing galleries? 301 redirect to a similar gallery ? Problem with that would be no recips... do the 301 and put up a small note for webmasters? Who would read that.. don't bots usually check for compliance? :helpme |
change the sponsors that are on the gallery pages to a similar type sponsor/niche
and if the content was exclusive to that site... im not really sure.... change the gallery completely to a new gallery that is similar? maybe that is best what do peepz think |

I am sometimes in the same situation...

Its all a matter of the TGP its listed on spidering thier backlogged galleries for changes. If these galleries are over 8 months old they are more than likely NOT being spidered by the TGP bot. Check your server stats - are you getting a lot of SE traffic from these? SE traffic would be great to redirect to a similar site/niche.

Just don't touch your old galleries, that's my advice. :)

I think that's what I've decided.. lol :thumbsup |
.
do not remove your old galleries and use sponsors without pop ups or use no pop ups tours . |
Do not alter your old galleries one bit. If you're getting traffic to them, leave them.
UNLESS you simply do not get credit for the sales sent to the tours you're pushing on them. In that case, might as well remove them and redirect to a blank 404 page with no links, no popups, no nothing. Plain simple. In fact, if you ever remove submitted galleries always display said 404 page. |
