Well, manual updating is definitely the way to go. The surfers don't want to see the same auto-updated crap blogs all over the place (like I've been noticing lately). The truth is in the sales. From what I've learned so far, to create a successful blog does take a bit of work.
1. Just like with any porn site you create, keep the text to content ratio in equalibrium. Not too much text and not too much content, just right.
2. Try to be original and have personality. If you can get your surfers to laugh or get their cocks hard you will get return typins and more sales, guaranteed.
3. Try and have a good layout/design. The default wordpress theme is definitely not appealing (I've seen it used more than it should).
4. Utilize permalinks with WordPress. I can't stress this one enough. Make your links human readable so the search engines list your pages!
5. Keep it updated. Post at least twice a week to keep your surfers coming back.
Those should get you started. :thumbsup
