Went fishing this morning and just finished...
 

Frying up about 3 pounds of freshwater crappy...sorry no pics but damn was kick ass!!! I love this fish since it is very mild. :thumbsup

Never tried crappy. Walleye and Bass are tasty.

crappy is sucky fish!

why dont you go for like salmon, trout, muskee, baracuda, shark?

apparently you've never had some "sounds like croppy not crappy" with a little butter & lemon....one of the best freshwater panfish

not to mention a very hard fish to catch....you have to jigg for them, or use live minnows etc. just like with a bass...they are big time predators...typically hang around structure & peirs just like bass

Crappy is very very mild, kinda like a fresh water Grouper, kicks ass

We netted minnows for bait, they are hard to catch and a bitch to fillet...but with a little flour, beer and bread crumbs....:thumbsup

I love fishing, but I hate getting fish! I use to throw them back in...

My buddy did the cleaning of it, took the kid out this morning...her first time out and was great seeing her so excited on catching these.

yup super fun fish to catch for kids too....they put up a awesome fight, but their easier to bring in than a bass

Use an electric fillet knife. It was a MUST when my dad would come home with buckets of croppy/crappy/speckled perch, and load the freezer out. He use to pull some huge "slabs" out of Lake Okeechobee. Missouri mud minnows were his favorite bait. :winkwink:
