Is This Legit:

Without reading all of the TOA's of the sponsors I use on my Webmaster Resource site, generally, would it be legit with the sponsors, to ask Webmasters to sign up under one of my Webmaster referrals, in order for that Webmaster to use a free service I may provide on the Resource site?

Or is this considered to be a no, no, for most sponsors?

I seriously doubt it. I use the same approach and have never had any problems.

I don't think they'd care.. Depending on how far you wanted to take it. For example, if you told someone to get a new account under that sponsor if they already were registered, i think they wouldn't like that..

But as long as you don't do that, you should be all good :thumbsup

Any more input?

dont ask just put the links up.
if they want to be nice they will signup with the affiliate code.

i think if your doing your homework and offering a service you should get paid for it.

if not there are always mouseovers :)

I'm sure I read somewhere that Dave Lewis has written some software to help with that. :winkwink:

I think he joined forces with Meta to create a super marketing campaign. Main strategy: force people over the computer to buy by threatening to kick their asses.

I smell success!

Bound to work. Gotta admit we get some of the most 'creative' marketing ideas on here.

Lightspeed let you use some of their content with other sponsors, such as Internet Eraser, as long as you signup under their code. So I am guessing this is the same.

But I would fire off an email to each company first.
