Boom Boom Geoffrion dead at 75
Bernie "Boom Boom" Geoffrion died today at 75.
Ironically enough, this is the same day that his number 5 was to be officially retired at tonight's Habs game at the Bell Center in Montreal.
Boom Boom is said to have invented the slap shot.

I had the privilige of meeting Boom Boom at the beginning of this season in the Hab's Alumni room prior to a game. He looked to be in great shape, eating a hot dog and joking around with us. He will surely be missed in Montreal and the hockey world. A legendary player. RIP Bernie. |
