Are you prior Military?

If so, holla at me about some ways to keep in contact with your buddies who are still in......is there a good site that works? :)

Also, I felt like joining the reserves, I did that after I got out of active duty...

I used a 5 ton like it was my regular car for a week, the neighbors shit their pants when that thing pulled up..:1orglaugh

Reunion.com also has one.

There are a few ppl who I'd like to keep contact with, but then it's been a long time.

i am lucky to have kept up with alot of the ones i liked and hung out with, but i did lose contact with some very cool people.

www.classmates.com has a big military section too.

Rochard 03-09-2006 03:42 PM

Yeah, I've seen the military section in Classmates.com and I've listed myself for it, but no one's ever contacted me through it. I have no burning desire to be in touch with some of my prior military friends.

Served in the Cdn. Armed Forces back in the early 80s...but never had an interest in keeping touch with buddies afterwards.

Having been in the Navy submarine service I know there are usually home pages for just about every unit I served with over 12 years - and from what Ive seen a lot of the Marine/Army/AF units have done the same thing - its good to go back and look at the pics from Olongapo and Subic City parties we had in the 70s :)

Naw, in 1980 the biggest question would have been "What is photoshop?"

Actually, a few summers ago we (wife, kids & I) had the opportunity to revisit my old base down east in Nova Scotia. Its mostly closed these days, but still used for cadet training...and it houses a maritime naval (or is that navel?) museum.

That was a real nostalgia kick. Hadn't seen the base in over 20 years. Brought back a lot of memories of my youth.
